The loss of my husband,
Melvin Lyle “ Pinky” Allyn. was
a sad occasion, made much easier
by the love and support of many
friends, my cousins from
Orofino, Idaho, and especially
Pastor Glenn and Phyllis Ander
son of Lexington Baptist Church.
Special thanks also go to Laura
Burnside-McElligott who played
piano for the funeral service and
Matthew Jepsen who played
trumpet. My husband liked jazz
music, and they sent him to glory
with the music he loved.
Thanks also to lone Legion

Heppner Legion Post and Ed

taps.
May God bless you all for help
ing me through a tragic time.

To the Heppner Chamber of
Commerce:
I am most honored by the Man
of the Year award I received at
the Town and Country banquet.
It is a great privilege to live in
the Heppner community and have
the opportunity to work with its
wonderful people to make it an
even better place to live.
I look forward with anticipation
and commitment to fulfilling Dr.
Jonas Salk’s comment. “ The
reward for work well done is the
opportunity to do m ore."
Thank you.
