INITIATING ALLOTMENT
MANAGEMENT PLANNING
The Heppner Ranger District
of the Umatilla National Forest is
in the process of conducting an
Environmental Analysis for
Allotment Management Plans
(AMP) on the Hardman and
Tam arack-M onum ent (T-M)
Allotments. The Hardman and T-
M Allotments are located within
Grant, Morrow and Wheeler
counties.

The District proposes to
develop and implement two
AMPs that would guide the
management of the range vegeta­
tion and associated resources on
the
Hardman
and
T-M
Allotments. These plans would
provide for the implementation of
an intensive management system
based on stream habitat condi­
tions, upland range vegetation
and soil conditions, and sensitive,
threatened or endangered species
or their habitat.
