in the Bookmark Design Contest at the local level, sponsored
by the Oregon Reading Association. Local school winners ad
vance to the state level.
The subject of the bookmarks were related to reading. All
entries were judged on the basis of originality, neatness, and
relationship to the theme of reading.
The lone Booster Club will
sponsor a chili feed this Saturday,
Dec. 18 during the Ione-Heppner
games. Dinner, consisting of
chili, salad, and combread with
fresh local honey, will be served
from 4-6 p.m. in the lone
cafeteria.
