day, Sept. 1. The meting will be
held at the lone High School star­
ting at 7:30 p.m. Anyone involv­
ed with Cycle Oregon, no mat­
ter how remotely, is urged to at­

Non-smoking bowling league formed
The Thursday night bowling
league voted last spring to declare
that their league will be four
women per team and no smoking
will be allowed on the premises.
However, smoking will be allow­
ed in the restaurant.
‘‘The purpose of the rule is to
have an evening of bowling for
people that are allergic to
smoke,” said a spokesperson.

the Heppner High School main
office for fall sports.
Football season ticket prices
are $8 per person for five home
games. There will be an admis­
sion charge this year for
volleyball matches and a season
pass will be $15 for nine home
matches.

Amy Betts and Jess Osmin, both Heppner announce their engage­
ment to be married.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Burr and Donna Bens, LaGrande.
She is a 1991 graduate of Cove High School.
Jess graduated from Heppner High School in 1989 and attended
BMCC. He is the son of A1 and Donna Osmin and is employed with
Osmin Ranch.
An October 23 wedding has been planned at the United Methodist
Church. Heppner.

and assorted support personnel
are scheduled to spend the night

Cycle Oregon comes to town.
The cyclists will be fed dinner
and breakfast before pedaling on
their way.
Season tickets will not be
honored for post-season tour­
naments nor for playoff games.
Senior citizen passes are also
available at the high school office
for those 65 years of age and
older and can be picked up at
anytime. These passes are for all
sports.

The lone High School reunion
will be held at the Willows
Grange Hall on Sunday, Sept. 5.
All classes through 1943 are in­
vited, but anyone from other
classes whether a graduate or not,
is welcome to come and join in
the fun and reminiscing.
Master of ceremonies will be
Wallace Lundell of Portland. A
memorial will be held for
classmates who have passed away
since the 1990 reunion. Prizes
will be awarded in special
categories.
Gilbert Haller, a former coach,
and Errett Hummel a former
principal, are among guests
expected.
The event will begin with
registration at 10 a.m. and din­
ner at 1 p.m. Registration is $2
and the dinner, catered by the
members of the Grange will be
$10. Dinner tickets must be pur­
