Children 12 and under arc in- vited to put that favorite pct in their little red wagon and haul them down to the Parade of Pets on Wednesday, August 18 begin- ning at 1 p .m . at the Morrow County Fair Grounds. The pet show is open to all kinds o f pets. One pet per child may be sho wn and exhibitors must care for their pets during the show. A ribbon and $1 wilJ be award- ed to each exhibitor. While Howard say that he has traded his ropes in for golf clubs, good horses and rodeos have been a part of Howard's life for many years. His many years of service to the Morrow County Rodeo in- clude working the calf chutes, hazing stock, taking tickets and serving on the Rodeo Committt.c. Howard was born at the Willow Creek home of hi parents, Glenn and Madge Bryant. He and his brother, Earl, attended Heppner schools. While Howard played on the school's championship quality football team, the team was never able to panicipare in the playo(fs because the opposing team became ill. They then took on tougher op- ponents from the CCC encamp- Howard and his wife Beth. celebrated their golden wedding aMiversary in 1990. They con- tinue to live al their Fairview Way residence surrounded by life long friends and neighbors who join this couple' nieces and nephew as supporters. The Bryants arc members of the Heppner Methodist Church, the Masonic and f.astem Star Lodges and the Shriners. In re- cent years, they have become ac- tive members of the Willow Creek Country Club.
