Kid-A-Ride from Portland will
offer fun and thrills for young
children this year at the Morrow
County fair.
Kiddy rides will include racing
cars, a train, a jumping ride, an
airplane ride and games.
Kid-A-Ride provided kiddy
ride for this year' St. Patrick's
celebration in Heppner.

The rare and unusual Jacob
Sheep will be the topic of a
demon tration by Sandra Van
Liew.
Sandra will speak about the
heep and demon trate the spin-
ning of their wool.
Sandra has been spinning the
wool of the sheep, which
originate in England, for nine
years.
Sandra will
give her
demon tration on Friday, Augu t
20 at 2 p.m. under the tent on the
little league field .

are pennant bearer Dawn Boor
and Kathleen Greenup.
For flag bearer, Dawn Boor,
carrying a flag in parades and
grand entries is fast becoming
"old hat" . Boor, the 15 year-old
daughter of Jim and Marie Boor
of lone has put in many long
hour with the court this year, and
he will oon complete her third
year bearing the flag of the Mor-
row County Fair and Oregon
Trail Pro Rodeo.
Dawn will have an extremely
busy fair week as a member of
the Martingales 4-H Horse club
and 4-H cooking club. She also
is a member of Wranglers Riding
Club and has participated in many
spring playdays and trail ride .

Dawn Boor
High School this fall as a
freshman and is looking forward
to participating in all spons.
When it comes to "Rodeo
Royalty", flag bearer Kathleen
Greenup carrie on a family tradi-
tion that pan over three genera-
tion , from grandmother , aunts.
cousins, sisters and even a grand-
father, Don Greenup, who was
grand marshal in 1991 .
Greenup is the daughter of
Greg and Janet Greenup of Hepp-
ner and will be entering Heppner
Middle School thi fall as a
seventh grader. Kathleen enjoys
riding her horse, and is an active
member of the Wranglers Riding
Club, where she has earned many
awards tor her expert horseman-
ship. She is looking forward to
panicipating in the volleyball and
basketball programs this school
year.
