The towering pine trees and blooming wild flowers at Anson Wright
Park were the setting for the western theme wedding of Curtis Day
and Sandi Ford on July 4, 1993.
The freshly mowed lawn supplied the floor for the chapel at the
end of the park where the Rev. Stan Hoobing performed the double-
ring ceremony.
The bride, given in marriage by her grandfather. Bob Green, wore
a white skirt and blouse decorated in western style with jade beads
and lavender suede, all hand made by Molly Day, mother of the
groom.
The flower girls Kayla Angell, was accompanied by the ringbearers,
Cody and Zane Ford, the two oldest sons of the bride. The youngest
son, Chance Ford-Day, stood with the bride’s grandparents.
The bride’s attendants, Jodee Ashbeck and Kim Angell wore col
orful jade and lavender western blouses and black shirts.
The groom, the best man Tim Hedman and groomsman Dale
Holland all wore jade western shirts and black jeans.
The bride was raised by her grandparents, Bob and Betty Green
of Spray.
The bridegroom is the son of Troy and Molly Day, Heppner.
Lorri Branstetter, sister of the groom, was in charge of the vocal
presentation, and Doris Bailey, aunt of the groom, assisted Molly
Day with the floral arrangements. Bryan Branstetter, brother-in-law
of the groom was the photographer.
Special guests were the bride’s 92 year-old great grandmother of
Spray and the bridegroom’s grandmother Marbel Blann, from
Mitchell.
A reception was held at the couple’s home in Heppner following
the ceremony.
The groom is employed by Morrow County Grain Growers of
Lexington.
