Members of the Nazarene church served 110 people at the senior
dinner Dec. 23. Ten dinners were taken out. Barbara Struthers won
the meal ticket, Don Haugen the door prize and Marbel Blam of Mit
chell the guest prize. Children from the First Christian Church Sun
day school entertained, singing Christmas carols. The seniors always
enjoy having the children sing.
The menu for dinner Jan. 6 will be leg of lamb, potatoes, salad,
hot rolls, fruit and cookies. Members of the Methodist Church will
serve. There will be a Nutrition Site Committee meeting following
the meal.
The “ real Santa” made a stop at the senior apartments leaving
gift bags of candy and fruit at each tenant’s door. A nice gentleman
who didn't give his name left a gift tray of candied fruit with Velma
Wight to be shared with all the tenants. The tenants appreciate all
the goodies they have received.
The senior bus will go to the dance in Hermiston New Year’s Eve.
Anyone wishing to go to the dance should contact Irene Schroeder
676-9132, or the Senior Center 676-9030, to sign up.
Remember: Mondays, 10:30-11:30 a.m. Bible study. Quilting starts
again Jan. 4, 1-4 p.m. Tues. and Thurs, 10-10:30 a.m., exercise.
