The Morrow County Sheriffs
office reports dispatching the
following business during the past
week:
December 1: Morrow County
deputy responded to Oregon
Potato Industries in Boardman to
take a report of a burglary. $200
in petty cash was reported taken;
Morrow County Sheriffs of
fice dispatched the Condon am
bulance to Wrights Chevrolet
parking lot for one male with in
juries. Thtr». was no transport;
Morrow County deputy took a
burglary report from Elizio
Salinas. An amplifier valued at
$700 was taken from a residence
in Irrigon.
December 2: Morrow County
deputy took a report of theft from
Ken Evans in Irrigon. Amount of
value was unknown.
December 3: Morrow County
deputy took a report of a stolen
vehicle in the Irrigon area. Call
was unfounded;
M orrow County deputy
responded to 1-84, westbound,
milepost 153 for a report of a
suspicious subject.
December 4: Morrow County
Sheriff s office dispatched the
lone Fire Dept and lone Rescue
to a residence in lone that was
reported to be on fire at S.E. 2nd
and A Streets. Call was
unfounded;
Morrow County Sheriffs of
fice dispatched the Boardman
Fire Dept to a residence on Allens
Court in Boardman;
Morrow County Sheriffs of
fice dispatched the Mitchell am
bulance to a motor vehicle acci
dent on Hwy. 26. One patient
was transported via Airlife with
unknown injuries;

Lexington. Amount of value was
unknown;
Morrow County Sheriffs of
fice dispatched the Boardman am
bulance to a residence on Willow
Fork Dr. Boardman for one
female with an unknown illness.
Patient was transported to Good
Shepherd Communit* Hospital.
December 5: Mori j w County
Sheriff s office dispatched the
Boardman ambulance to a one
vehicle rollover accident on 1-84,
eastbound, mile post 175.5 in the
median. There was no transport.
Morrow County deputies assisted
Oregon State Police with the
accident;
Morrow County deputies in
vestigated a report of unknown
subjects in the area near 7th
West, Irrigon where several unat
tended vehicles were parked.
December 6: Morrow County
Sheriffs office dispatched the
Arlington Fire Dept to the report
of a fire at Oregon Waste
Maintenance. It was a false
alarm.
December 7: Morrow County
Sheriffs office dispatched the
Boardman
am bulance
to
I-84/Hwy. 730 Interchange for a
report of a motor vehicle acci
dent. Deputy was unable to locate
accident;
Morrow County Sheriffs of
fice dispatched the Arlington am
bulance to the BP station for one
female with an illness. Patient
was transported to Good
Shepherd Community Hospital;
Morrow County Sheriffs of
fice dispatched the Arlington am
bulance and Fire Dept to a
rollover on 1-84 east bound at

vehicle that had slid off the icy
road. There were no injuries and
no transport;
Morrow County deputy ar
rested Joseph Michael Elliott, 29,
Colorado, for Felony charge of
Unlawful Distribution and Sales
Drugs. He was lodged at Benton
County Jail;
Morrow County deputy ar
rested Robert Gene Morely, 24,
Irrigon for Parole Violation and
Theft II. He was lodged at Ben
ton County Jail.

Food drive nets almost 3,000 lbs.
Almost 3,000 pounds worth of
food was collected in the local
food drive held Nov. 16.
According
to
Heppner
Neighborhood Center director
Joyce Breeding 2.936 pounds of
food were collected, which she
believes is up from last year.
Thanksgiving baskets were
distributed Nov. 23 and
C hristm as baskets will be
distributed on Dec. 21. Breeding
says that canned pie fillings are
still needed for the Christmas
baskets. She said that while they
usually use pumpkin filling on
Thanksgiving, they try to have
other varieties at Christmas.
Donations may be dropped off at
the center.
Various groups and individuals
from Heppner, lone and Lex
ington participated in the drive.
Camp Fire girls and boys
delivered flyers. Participants in
the food drive include the lone
youth group and the Heppner
football and volleyball teams.
Congratulations to the
Heppner Mustangs
with their win at the
State Championship Game!!!
