test is open to children pre-school

Plocharsky — Hesse
Susan M. Plocharsky, Beaverton, and Troy D. Hesse, Hillsboro,
were married in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 17, 1992 at St. Paul
Lutheran Church in Sherwood.
The Rev. Donald Winkler of Sherwood performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Warren and Irene Plocharsky of Hepp
ner. The grooms parents are Ted and Paulie Hesse of Hillsboro.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Maid of honor was Hope Fakini of Aberdeen, S.D.. Bridesmaids
were Paula Plocharsky, sister of the bride, Carrie Brownfield and
Holly Pfister, cousin of the groom.
Best man was Fred Pfister, cousin of the groom. Groomsmen were
Todd Hesse, brother of the groom, Wayne Plocharsky, brother of
the bride and Scott Krahmer. Ushers were Steve Plocharsky, brother
of the bride and Brian Hesse, brother of the groom.
Flower girls were Kyla Stelling, niece of the bride and Korinna
Hoffman. Candlelighters were Jeff and Julie Watkins of Heppner.
A reception at the church followed the ceremony.
The bride graduated from Heppner High School and attended
Eastern Oregon State College. She graduated from Emmett Travel
School. She is employed at All About Tours in Tigard.
The groom graduated from Hillsboro High School and attended
Eastern Oregon State College. He is employed at Hoffman’s Farms
in Sherwood.
After a wedding trip to Cancún, Mexico the couple is at home in
Scholls.
Artifactory set December 5
The annual Christmas Artifac
tory and Christmas Greens
workshop is scheduled for Satur
day, Dec. 5 at the Morrow Coun
ty Fairgrounds in Heppner.
Artifactory is a craft fair spon
sored by Heppner Soroptimist In
ternational. Tables are rented to
individuals who wish to sell their
handmade crafts or homebaked
goods. A variety of items are
available this year by many local
people and people from as far
away as the Tri-Cities and
Meacham.
Photos with Mr. and Mrs. San
ta Claus will be available from 11
a.m. until 1 p.m.
Lunch will be available and
will include cinnamon rolls, hot
dogs, chili, baked potatoes and
homemade pie.

said a Soroptimist spokesperson.
Advent study planned at IUCC
An adult study on “ Embodi
ment: A Study of Sexuality” will
be held at lone United Church of
C hrist on the first three
Thursdays of December at 7:30
p.m.
Topics include “ the gift and the
ideal” ; “ an historical survey of
sexuality and the church” ; and
# it ift ,<r ¡ft
“ issues in the news: homosex
uality and abortion” .
The class will be led by the
Rev. Lea Mathieu, using as a
basic text theologian James
Nelson's “ Embodiment” . In

Troxell
- Jepsen
Gina Marie Troxell and James Robert Jepsen announce their
engagement to be married.
James is the son of John and Jean Jepsen. He is a graduate of lone
High School and Mt. Hood Community College. A certified
horticulturist, he is employed at Jepsen Pest Control as a commer
cial applicator.
Gina is the daughter of Robert and Linda Troxell. She is a graduate
of Spray High School, Oregon College of Beauty and Trend College.
The couple plan a Dec. 5 wedding at the lone United Church of
Christ. A reception will follow at the lone Legion Hall.

Dinner and games
at Stokes Landing
Dinner and game night will be
held at Stokes Landing Senior
Center in Irrigon on Friday, Nov.
27. Dinner will be served from
5 to 7 p.m. and game night will
be from 7:30 to 10 p.m.
Dinner menu is chili, corn
bread, salad and raspberry cream
dessert. The price for dinner is
$2.50 for adults and $1 for
children. There is a $1 charge for
game
night
including
refreshments and coffee. Prizes
will be awarded to the winners of
the games.
