St. Patrick’s church plans carnival
St. Patrick’s Catholic Church
has planned a mini-carnival to be
held Sunday, Nov. 15 from 12 to
2 p.m. at the parish hall. The
public is invited to attend.
I would like to thank all the people who supported
me in the general election.

A Heppner, Lexington and
lone community food drive will
be held Monday, Nov. 16 from
6 to 7 p.m.
The food drive, sponsored by
area Christian youth in coopera­
tion with Heppner High School
volleyball and football players
and camp fire girls and boys, will
collect food for the holiday

Rev. Bob Crum will celebrate
Holy Communion at All Saints
Episcopal Church on Sunday,
Nov. 15 at 10:30 a.m
Rev. Crum will be available for
appointments Thursday, Nov. 12
through Sat. Nov. 14. Please call

Wednesday, Dec. 2, the Rt.
Rev. Rusty Kimsey, Bishop of
Eastern Oregon, will visit All
Saints Episcopal Church for a
meeting with the congregation.
The evening will begin with a
potluck supper at 6 p.m.

The educational program will
be conducted on Wednesday,
November 18 at 10 a.m. at the
Pendleton Extension Office, 721
S.E. Third Street, and will be
repeated as a public program at
7:30 p.m. at the Boardman
Library, 206 N. Main Street.

One hundred ten people were present for the senior dinner Wed
Nov. 4. Ten meals were taken out. Members of the Mormon church
served, assisted by Daisy Collins. Bernice Nash won the free meal
ticket and the door prize went to Millie Hanna. The Nutrition Site
Committee met after the dinner. Clair Johnson and Velma Wight arc
host and hostess for the month of November.
The Thanksgiving dinner will be Nov. 18. The menu will include
roast turkey, cranberry sauce, candied sweet potatoes, vegetable, rolls
cookies, pudding or cake. Members of the Episcopal church will
serve.
The Morrow County Creative Arts and Crafts held their annual
art fair at the senior center Friday afternoon and Saturday, Nov. 6
and 7. Girls from the school helped arrange the tables for the art
and crafts, and helped put them back in order again. Hats off to our
helpful Heppner young people.
The ladies of Lexington will have their craft sale at the Center Sat
Nov. 14 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Dates to remember: Monday-Bible study 10:30 a.m. quilting, 1-4
p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday-exercise 10-10:30 a.m.; Wednesday-
noon senior dinner; Saturday-dance at Hermiston, 6:30 p.m. Call
Irene Schroeder 676-9132 or Velma Wight 676-9050 to sign up for
bus transportation.
Don’t miss the Heppner Intergenerational Theater play at the Hepp­
ner high school Sunday, November 15.
