local businesses, Skaggs Auto
Clinic. I am passing it along to
you to share with your readers.

Dear Mayor:
Every year at this time I visit
your city to hunt the Heppner
Unit for deer and elk.
At Arlington my truck started
running poorly. We limped into
Heppner to Skaggs Automotive.
Rob Skaggs did some checking
on our truck and thought it need
ed a major rebuild. Rob asked if
the Ford truck was under warran
ty, l thought no. Rob gave us a
cost to repair the truck of $2,300
and said he could be finished by
elk season. Well we contracted
Skaggs to do the work and went
on with the hunting trip with our
friends in their truck.
Monday when I returned home
Rob had called. It seemed Rob
had called Ford Motor Company
and found that indeed the truck
was under warranty and that the
cost would be $100, not $2,300.
A Ford garage would have to
do the work. I went back to
Heppner and towed the truck to
Portland, and had the truck
repaired at a cost of $122.50. Rob
Skaggs could have repaired that
truck for $2,300, and I would not
have known about the warranty.
I do not know if you have an
outstanding citizen award or
anything like that. Well, if you
do, I would like to recommend
Rob Skaggs for this honor.

HIT melodrama set Nov. 15 & 24

Last fall local audiences en
joyed an old-time melodrama
show on stages in both Heppner
and lone. This entirely new kind
of humor and audience appeal to
be found in these old melodramas
had made them popular
evey where in the past few years.
“ Dirty
Work
at
the
Crossroads" that HIT is produc
ing on Nov. 15 and 24 is based
on a genuine old melodrama first
produced in 1867. It has been ar
ranged for groups with limited
production facilities, at the same
time seeking to maintain the pic
turesque flavor of the original
production. It contains authentic

for the audiences to boo, hiss,
“ Ah” and applaud.
Emoluments arising from the
exertions of HIT will be ap
propriated to worthy purposes,
pre-school programs.
The number of tickets for sale
(at Murrays) will be limited to the
magnitude of the building.
A generous variety of delec
table desserts will be available but
smoking cigars will be
prohibited.

October 26: Morrow County
deputy responded to investigate a
report of a suspicious vehicle on
Riverside St. in Heppner;
M orrow County deputy
responded to take a complaint of
dumping in the Boardman area;
Morrow County dispatched the
Boardman Rescue to the Board-
man park for a juvenile problem;
M orrow County deputy
responded to investigate a harass
ment complaint on Hwy. 730;
Morrow County deputy
responded to investigate a report
of suspicious circumstances near
the west bound rest area near
Boardman;
Morrow County deputy
responded to cover Boardman
Police officer on a report of an
alarm at a business in Boardman.

neighbor problem in Irrigon;

vestigate two on going juvenile
complaints;

responded to Irrigon to take a
report from the Fish and Wildlife
of a theft of a radio from a vehi
cle. There was no value at press
time;
M orrow County deputy
responded to the Irrigon area to
take a report of harassment;
M orrow County deputy
responded to the Wilson Trailer
Court for a report of an assault;
Morrow County deputy ar
rested Gustabo Reyes Fernandez.

Morrow County Sheriffs of
fice assisted the Boardman Police
dept w ith a fight at a business in
Boardman. Police department
was unable to locate subject upon
arrival.
October 30: Morrow County
deputy assisted the Boardman
Police dept with a report of
assault at an apartment complex
in Boardman;
Morrow County deputy took a
report of menacing in the Irrigon
area. Call was unfounded;
Morrow County deputy cited
and released Linda Frazier, 42,
Irrigon, for Harassment;
Morrow County deputy ar
rested Dean Reikofski, 35, Ir
rigon, for Assault IV. He posted
bail and was released from
custody;
M orrow County deputy
responded to a report of livestock
on Wilson Road.
October 31: Morrow County
Sheriff s office dispatched the

Fossil Fire Dept, and ambulance
to a structure fire in Fossil. One
male patient was transported to
Emanuel via Air Life;
M orrow County deputy
responded to assist Heppner
Police Dept, with a report of a
burglar alarm;
M orrow County deputy
responded to a domestic in lone.
Shannon Hamilton, 25, was ar
rested for Assault IV. She posted
bail and was released;
Morrow County Sheriffs of
fice dispatched the Condon am
bulance to a residence in Condon.
One female juvenile was
transported to The Dalles with
unknown injuries, possibly a
broken leg;
M orrow County deputies
responded to a disturbance in
Irrigon.
November 1: Morrow County
deputy responded to Wilson Road
near Boardman to investigate a
report of a missing farm animal;
Morrow County Sheriffs of
fice dispatched the Boardman am
bulance to a residence on Board-
man Avenue. One 76 year old
male was transported to Good
Shepherd Community Hospital in
Hermiston with an illness;
Morrow County Sheriffs of
fice dispatched the Arlington am
bulance to a two vehicle accident
on 1-84, westbound between mile
post 156 and 157. There was no
transport;
Morrow County deputy ar
rested Elvia Domingo Amaya-
Rivas, 24, Hermiston, for Assault
IV. Subject was released on his
own recognizance;
Morrow County deputy began
investigation of a 3-wheeler
valued at $500 stolen from an Ir
rigon residence;
Morrow County Sheriffs of
fice dispatched the Boardman
Fire Dept to a vehicle fire on
1-84, westbound at mile post 171;
Morrow County Sheriff s of
fice dispatched the Heppner Fire
Dept to a flue fire at 275 W.
baltimore.
November 2: Morrow County
Sheriffs office dispatched the
Spray ambulance to Service
Creek. One male was transported
to Pioneer Memorial Hospital in
Prineville with an illness;
M orrow County deputy
responded to Kunze Road in
Boardman to investigate an
animal problem;
Morrow County deputy ar
rested John Samuel Williams, 28,
Boardman on Failure to Pay Fine,
Driving While Suspended and
Parole Violation ^Driving While
Revoked. Williams was lodged at
Benton County Jail;
Morrow County Sheriff s of
fice dispatched the Condon am
bulance to the Gilliam County
Medical Center. One female was
transported to The Dalles with an
unknown illness.
