Stick horse race kicks off Rodeo Fri.
The annual stickhorse race for
little cowboys and cowgirls will
again be held in conjunction with
the Morrow County Amateur
Rodeo, Friday, August 21 at the
Morrow County Fairgrounds.
There will be two age groups:
three and under and four and five
year olds. Contestants do not
need to live in Morrow County
and will be admitted free when
accompanied by a paid adult.
Sign-up with Judy Eckman or
Tara Doutre before 7 p.m. Fri
day night. The stickhorse race
will be the first event at the rodeo.
There is an entry fee of $ 1.
Stickhorses will be furnished to
those who need them, but “if you
have a faster stickhorse at home,
please bring it,” say organizers.
Prizes donated by Bob and
Sherree Mahoney and Peterson’s
Jewelers will be awarded for first,
second and third places in each
age group. Each contestant will
also receive a ribbon and a special
