Livestock auction sales limited
Organizers of this year's
livestock auction say it should be
a great success. In the past, each
4-H and FFA member was able
to sell two animals at the sale.
Because of the grow th of the 4-H
livestock program, members are
selling only one animal at the
1992 Livestock Auction.
The 4-H youth have worked
hard on their animals to prepare
them for fair. Members and
leaders hope that everyone can
receive a good price for their
animals.
Selling one animal instead of
two is one way to respond to
growth of the livestock program
without overtaxing community
support.
All buyers should feel comfor
table with their level of support
for the livestock project
members. Buyers should be
aware that they will have only one
chance to purchase an animal
raised by a specific youth, even
though the youth may have shown
two at fair.
Anyone with comments or
questions about the new livestock
sale rule can contact Bill
Broderick, 4-H agent 676-9642.
