Clever Crafters

The Clever Crafters met on
Tuesday, Dec. 10. Club members
sang and decorated trees at the
Heppner Nursing Home. The
next meeting will be Dec. 19.

The Morrow County Sheriffs
office at the courthouse in Hepp
ner reports dispatching the
following business during the past
week:
December 10: Morrow Coun
ty deputy responded to a business
in Boardman for a report of a
suspicious person;
M orrow County deputy
responded to Big River Farm for
a report of theft. Items taken were
230 ft of 1” black and red rope;
three green vinyl tarps; one
24x24 and two 24x22, total value
$1750;
Morrow County Sheriffs of
fice dispatched the Heppner am
bulance to a residence on Elder
St. for one female with an injury.
Female was transported to
Pioneer Memorial Hospital;
M orrow County deputy
responded to Lamb Weston for a
report of a Hit and Run in the
parking lot.
December 11: Morrow Coun
ty deputy responded to the Irrigon
area to take a report of guns
stolen from Ivan Driver. Approx
imate value was $200;
Morrow County deputy took a
report of a juvenile problem in the
Irrigon area. Investigations are
continuing;
M orrow County deputy
responded to the Irrigon area for
a report of criminal mischief;
M orrow County deputy
responded to the Irrigon area for
a report of suspicious people.
Deputy was unable to locate
anyone upon arrival.
December 12: Morrow Coun
ty Sheriffs office dispatched the
Heppner fire department to a
chimney fire at 260 N. Court St.;
M orrow County deputy
responded to the Irrigon area for
a report of a juvenile problem.
December 13: Morrow Coun
ty Sheriffs office assisted Board-
man Police department with an
intrusion alarm at a local
business. Alarm was false;
M orrow County deputy
assisted Oregon State Police in
locating and stopping a vehicle on
1-84, wanted in connection with
a theft out of Washington;
Morrow County deputy made
contact with a resident on S. 3rd
in Irrigon for a report of an
animal problem;
M orrow County deputy
assisted Boardman Police depart
ment with an alarm at the Board-
man Pharmacy. Alarm was false.
December 14: Morrow Coun
ty deputy received a report of a
stolen sun roof taken off a vehi
cle in Irrigon. Item was recovered
and case closed;
Morrow County Sheriffs of
fice dispatched the Boardman am
bulance to a one vehicle rollover
on 1-84 mile post 151. Three peo
ple were transported to Good
Shepherd Hospital with unknown
injuries. A fourth person refus
ed transport;
M orrow County deputy
responded to a report of an aban
doned vehicle on private proper
ty outside Boardman. Situation
was handled;
Morrow County deputy made
contact with a resident on
Washington St., Irrigon, for a
neighborhood problem involving
dogs.
December 15: Morrow Coun
ty S h eriffs office received
reports of a motor vehicle acci
dent on 1-84, hwy. 730 Jet. There
were no injuries. Morrow County
deputy assisted Oregon State
Police;
Morrow County Sheriffs of
fice dispatched the Heppner fire
department to a flue fire on
Gilmore St. Turned out to be a
false alarm;
Morrow County deputy receiv
ed a report of a family distur
bance in Irrigon. Situation was
resolved without incident;
December 16: Morrow Coun
ty deputy responded to the Irrigon
area regarding an animal com
plaint Problem was resolved;
Morrow County Sheriffs of
fice received a report of a non
injury rollover accident on Hwy.
74. There was no further infor
mation available at press time.
Gun club sets
meeting date
The Morrow County Gun Club
will hold a meeting Sunday, Dec.
22 at 12:30 p.m. at the club on
Cutsforth Comers.
Election of officers and the
shooting schedule will be on the
agenda, followed by an afternoon
of trapshooting. Members and
prospective members are invited
to participate.
lone Topic club meets
The lone Topic Club members
met in the social room of the
Catholic Church on Nov. 20 with
Rose Baker and Eunice
McElligott as hostesses.
Each member told about
something she remembered about
Thanksgiving traditions. Eunice
gave a reading “ Traditions of
Thanksgiving” and Rose read a
poem entitled “ Give Thanks for
What?”
