Catch the Pioneer Spirit and come
on out for the Morrow County Fair
and Rodeo Parade beginning at 10
a m., Saturday, August 17, along
Main Street in Heppner.
For those who really want to get
into the spirit of things, registration
will be set up at the Green Feed
Store, 242 Linden Way in Heppner,
beginning at 9 a m. For early
registration stop by Van Marter and
Kahl Insurance office, located at 187
N. Main St. Entrants are asked to fill
out their registration forms in ad­
vance if possible. If you have any
questions, or need any special ar­
rangem ents, contact parade
organizer Bob Kahl at 676-9113 or
676-9422.
Kahl suggests that entrants plan to
be at Green Feed between 9 and 9:30
a m. to get things set up before the
parade The queens and courts and
the automotive entries need to be
signed in and ready by 9:30 a m. if
they wish to be judged and become
eligible for ribbons or prize money.
Over $400 will be awarded in prize
this year. All ribbons and prize
money will be given out at the
fairgrounds at the fair board office
Saturday afternoon. Prize money not
picked up Saturday afternoon will be
mailed.
Those who plan on bringing
horses are asked not to unload at
Green Feed because the area tends
to become congested.
