Hungry fairgoers can once again
munch their way around the
fairgrounds this year with many
délectables available, such as Tai
ribbons, tacos, taco salads. Hawaiian
shave ice, German sausage by Sheila
Torrence, pies by the Senior Center
Wednesday through Friday, deli and
sub sandwhiches from LaRae’s Sub
Shop, baked potatoes from the
Soroptimists Wednesday through
Saturday, Vayes potatoes, and
goodies from the Lexington Grange
and the 4-H Snack Shop.
Available off the fairgrounds are
a breakfast sponsored by the
Masons, 7 to 10 a.m. Saturday,
Aug. 17 at the Heppner City Park

Saints Episcopal Church on the cor­
ner of Church and Gale Streets on
Saturday, Aug. 17, from 4 to 7
p.m., featuring barbecue beef, bak­
ed beans, coleslaw, baked potatoes,
garlic bread, hot or cold beverage,
and ice cream for $7 for adults, $6
for seniors and $3.50 for children.
The Wranglers breakfast on Sun­
day, Aug. 18 from 7:30 to 10:30
a.m. will be held at the fairgrounds.
Menu includes ham and eggs,
hashbrowns, pancakes, coffee and
milk for $3 for adults and $2 for
children.

The school also provides informa­
tion on an insurance plan. The cost
varies according to the type of in­
surance selected. A few insurance
options are School-time Only Plan
$39 (preferred), $17 (Economy Op­
tion), $9 (Budget Option). Football-
Only Plan $168 (Preferred), $79
(Economy), $53 (Budget). Parents
can opt to purchase one of these
plans, place the student on their own
plan, or leave the student uninsured.
However, all athletes must be
covered by some form of insurance.
Lockers will be assigned and
students may review their schedule
also. Please register at the requested
date and time if possible.

Heppner High School has set
registration day for Monday. August
19. Incom ing freshm en and
sophomores are asked to register
form 8:30 to 11 a.m. and juniors and
seniors will register from 1:00 to 3
p.m.
Fees for the 1991-92 school year
will be as follows: Student body
fee-$6 (all students); yearbook-$17
(optional); towel fee-$2 (all PE
students
and
athletes);
padlock purchase-$3 (optional).
There are no book fees charged at
HHS, but students are required to
pay replacement cost at the end of
the year for any book that is damag­
ed or lost.
The Morrow County Museum will
be open again this year on a special
schedule on Saturday and Sunday,
August 17 and 18, to accommodate
parade and rodeo goers. For this one
weekend, the museum will be open
from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Stickhorse Race will once
again be held in conjunction with the
Morrow County Amateur rodeo,
Friday, August 16, 1991 at the Mor­
row County Fairgrounds.
There will be two age groups three
and under and four and five year
olds. Contestants do not need to live
in Morrow County and will be ad­
mitted free when accompanied by a
paid adult.
