lands grazing issue, will be aired on
June 23 at 10 p.m. (ET) on TBS
Super Station Atlanta.
The program purported to ex­
amine public lands grazing from
in a little league football program for
both the rancher’s and conserva­
tionist’s viewpoint, is not a "balanc­
ed presentation of facts” according
to an editorial by Ellen Godwin,
editor of the "Brangus Journal.”
The editorial also appeared in the
Western Livestock Journal.

Residents of Morrow County are
being asked to provide input on local
health care needs, issues and con­
cerns. Two community-wide goal
setting meetings will provide the
structure for the input. The first will
be held in Boardman at the Riverside
High School cafeteria on June 20 and
the second will be held in Heppner
at the fairgrounds pavilion building
on June 27. Both meetings begin at
7 p.m. Members of the Morrow
County Health Care Council will
facilitate small group discussions and
the goal of these meetings will be to
identify five major health care
priorities for Morrow County.

After 19 years at Kinzua, Seth
Forquer, 62, has retired. Forquer,
bom in North Dakota, came out
West in 1930. He started out at the
mill operating the lathe in the
plywood plant. During his employ­
ment he has worked in the “ bull
gang” doing cleanup in the yard,
taken care of oiling in the sawmill
and finally, handled knife-changing
in the mill.
Not too optimistic about the future
of the timber industry, Forquer says,
" I ’ve seen the better of the lumber

St. Patrick’s Parish and St.
W illiam ’s Parish will have a
religious vacation school for children
kingergarten (as of Sept. 91) through
eighth grade Monday, June 24
through Friday, June 28 at the parish
hall in Heppner. Classes will be held
from 9 a m. till noon. High school
students are invited to attend and
help.
The school will be conducted by
Sisters Clare, Agnes Marie, and Ann
Vandecoevering, members of the
Order of Sisters of St. Mary of
Oregon. Mass will be offered at the
conclusion of classes each day in the
parish church at noon.
A parish picnic will be held Sun­
day. June 23 at noon at the city park,
to welcome the Sisters to the parish.
If the weather is not suitable it will
be held in the parish hall. Everyone
is welcome to attend
