TNT channel to be out temporarily
Heppner TV Inc. reports that
Channel 15, TNT, will not be
transmitted for a short time. Accor
ding to Judie Laughlin of Heppner
TV, the equipment that went out
during the power outage March 9
must be repaired. She said that the
return time on the repairs is not con
firmed so the company cannot say
how long they will be without the
channel. When TNT returns the
channel will be relocated to channel
14.
Laughlin said that this also is the
season for sun-caused outages, some
of which have been experienced
already, with some channels fuzzing
out for approximately eight to 10
minutes at a time. Certain satellites
are blocked by the suns rays, which
causes outages, she said.
