Youth group plans programs

The lone Youth Group will host
Sister Catherine Hertel, youth direc­
tor of the Baker Diocese on Sunday,
January 27. Sister Catherine will
present a program on St. Paul star­
ting at 7 p.m. in the basement of St.
William’s Catholic Church in lone.
All junior high and high school
students are welcome to attend.

thouse in Heppner reports dispat­
ching the following business during
the past week:
January 15: Morrow County
deputy responded to die Irrigon area
for a report of a neighborhood
disturbance;
Morrow County Sheriffs office
dispatched the Condon ambulance to
the medical center for a transport;
Morrow County deputy respond­
ed to the Irrigon area for a business
check;
Morrow County deputy respond­
ed to the Boardman area to attempt
to locate a vehicle. Call was
unfounded.
January 16: Morrow County
Sheriffs office dispatched the Arl­
ington ambulance to the Arlington
Mall for a female with an unknown
injury. There was no transport;
Morrow County deputy arrested
Wallace Gary Smith, 20, Hermiston,
on a Umatilla County warrant for
Probation Violation/Driving While
Suspended. Smith was also cited by
Morrow County Sheriffs office on
Driving While Suspended charges.
January 17: Morrow County
deputy responded to a ranch east of
Irrigon and began investigation of
theft of a Honda 5 hp Irrigon motor
with Scott pump taken from Doug
Strebin. Value was $550.;
Morrow County Sheriffs deputy
arrested Daryl Jay Ott, Jr., 37, Ir­
rigon on a Umatilla Police Depart­
ment warrant for Failure To Ap-
pear/Traffic. Ott was transported to
the Umatilla Police department and
was cited and released;
Morrow County deputy respond­
ed to the Irrigon area for a report of
a suspicious vehicle parked at a
business.
January 18: Morrow County
deputy responded to the Boardman
area to investigate a report of an
assault. Daniel Hernandez, 26,
Boardman, was arrested for Assault
IV. Hernandez posted bail and was
released;
Morrow County deputy arrested
Jeffrey Allen Foidel, 21, for viola­
tion of his release agreement. Foidel
was lodged at Benton Co.;
Morrow County deputies respond­
ed to Irrigon for an animal problem.
Problem was resolved;
Morrow County deputies assisted
Boardman police department with a
theft of services complaint. Problem
was resolved.
January 19: Morrow County
deputy responded to the Griffith
residence in Morgan to investigate ■»
a report of a burglary. Amount of
value and items taken were unknown
at press time;
Morrow County deputy contacted
a south Morrow County resident
regarding a security problem;
Morrow County deputy respond­
ed to assist Boardman Police depart­
ment with a two vehicle accident at
Sentry’s Market;
Morrow County Sheriffs office
dispatched the Condon ambulance to

transported to Mid Columbia
Medical Center with an unknown
illness.
January 20: Morrow County
deputy contacted an lone resident
regarding a civil problem;
Morrow County deputy respond­
ed to a location in Boardman for a
report of a juvenile problem. In­
vestigation is continuing;
Morrow County deputy contacted
an Irrigon residenton Hwy 730
regarding a suspicious person;
Morrow County Sheriffs office
dispatched the Boardman ambulance
to a residence off Faler Road. One
male was transported to Good
Shepherd Hospital with an unknown
illness;
Morrow County deputy assisted
Heppner Police department with a
neighborhood problem.
January 21: Morrow County
deputy made contact with an Irrigon
resident regarding an animal
problem;
Morrow County deputy respond­
ed to 8th St. Irrigon for a report of
shots fired. Call was unfounded.
January 22: Morrow County
