A public meeting of the Common
Council of the City of Heppner,
Morrow County, State of Oregon, to
adopt an ordinance will be held
January 14, 1991 at 7:00 pm at
Heppner City Hall, 188 W. Willow,
Heppner, Oregon.
On Monday, January 14, 1991,
7:00 pm. at Heppner City Hall, the
Heppner Common Council will hold
a public hearing on the adoption of
Ordinance Number 481, an or­
dinance Managing the Collection
and Disposal of Solid Waste: Gran­
ting of Solid Waste Disposal Fran­
chise Agreement, repealing Or­
dinance 339 and declaring an
emergency. Copies of the ordinance
are available at City Hall for public
examination.
This is a public meeting where
deliberation of the Common Coun­
cil will take place. Any person may
appear at the meeting and discuss the
proposed ordinance with the
Council.

INVITATION TO BID
The City of Heppner is inviting
proposals from various auditing
firms in anticipation of awarding an
auditing contract for the audit of the
City’s records for three consecutive
years beginning for the Fiscal Year
ending June 30, 1992. Proposals
shall include consideration of Single
Audit Regulations for Federal and
State Grants. Last day to receive
proposals will be January 11, 1991
at 5:00 P.M. prevailing time. The
bid opening will be during the City
Council meeting January 14, 1991 at
City Hall, Heppner. Oregon. The
City of Heppner reserves the right
to reject any or all bids.

Christmas day started out to be the
worst day ever imaginable. But I
have much to be thankful for. God
gave me my life and the lives of my
children. He also blessed me with
many wonderful friends, neighbors
and relatives. Thanks to Dr. Ed and
Dr. Jeanne Berretta. the whole PMH
staff, especially to Carl Lauritsen
who took me to Portland the next
day for glasses so I could see The
Murrays & Murrays Drug, the
Burkenbines and Central Market, the
fire department, I appreciate each
and every one of them. They spent
their day battling the blaze for hours
