Cancer support
The first cancer support group
meeting was a success, according to
organizer Merilee McDowell.
“ Cancer patients met and shared
their strength and hope,” said
McDowell. “ They talked about their
journey and gave some hints on bet
ter ways to help those who have just
found out they have cancer. We
mainly found out that we are a group
of people who care and want to help
those who are dealing with cancer
anyway we can.”
The next meeting will be held
Mon., Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. at the
Episcopal Parish hall. The first part
of a movie, “ Fight for Your Life,”
by Dr. Bemie Siegel, who works
with cancer patients, will be
featured.
For more information contact
Merilee, 676-5238.
