Sheriff’s Report
The Sheriffs office at the cour­
thouse in Heppner reports dispat­
ching the following business during
the past week:
November 13: Morrow County
deputy responded to the Boardman
area to investigate a report of
criminal mischief. Investigation is
.continuing;
Morrow County deputy respond­
ed to the Irrigon area for a report of
vandalism .
Investigation

continuing.
November 14: Morrow County
deputy responded to the Irrigon area
for a report of a family dispute. Pro­
blem was resolved;
Morrow County Sheriffs office
dispatched the Fossil ambulance to
the Pioneer Park for one male with
unknown injuries. Airlife met the
ambulance at Ladd Ranch and
transported to St. Charles Medical
Center in Bend;
Morrow County Sheriffs office
dispatched the Heppner ambulance
to Coal Mine Hill for a motor vehi­
cle accident. There were no injuries
and no transport.
November 15: Morrow County
deputy responded to a residence east
of Bombing Range Road to in­
vestigate vandalism to a vehicle. In­
vestigation is continuing;
Morrow County deputy respond­
ed to the Boardman area and handl­
ed a juvenile problem;
Morrow County deputy respond­
ed to the Irrigon area for a report or
loud music. Problem was solved;
Morrow County Sheriffs office
dispatched the Boardman ambulance
to a motor vehicle accident on 1-84
west bound mile post 158.5. One
subject was transported to Good
Shepherd Hospital with unknown
injuries;
Morrow County deputy respond­
ed to the Irrigon area for a report of
an animal problem at the Country
Garden Estates;
Morrrow County deputy respond­
ed to the Irrigon area for a suspicious
circumstance;
Morrow County deputy respond­
ed to Hilltop Drive in Boardman for
an animal problem. Investigation is
continuing;
Morrow County Sheriffs office
dispatched the Mitchell ambulance to
the Shoyn Ranch for a male with
unknown injuries:
Morrow County Sheriffs office
dispatched the Mitchell ambulance to
a motor vehicle accident near Pisgah
Point. There was no transport;
Morrow County deputy respond­
ed to the Riverview Trailer Court in

regular monthly meeting on Nov. 26
at 1 p.m. at Kates Pizza in Heppner.

Obituaries
William IT. Massey
Graveside service was held Nov.
8 at Sunset Hills Memorial Park,
Bellevue, WA. for William H.
Massey. Mr. Massey died Nov. 5,
1990 at Evergreen Hospital in
Kirkland, WA.
He was bom Dec. 5, 1909 in Echo
to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Massey,
and spent his early years there. At
the age of 17 he moved to Pilot Rock
and then on to Heppner with his
family.
Mr. Massey served in the US Ar­
my during the 20’s.
He and his wife, Lucille Beymer,
were married Jan. 21, 1934. They
lived in Heppner for many years.
For most of his working life he
was a carpenter. After retirement he
became an active member of the
Kirkland Senior Center.
He is survived by his wife,
Lucille, at their home; sons, Robert
D. of Redmond, WA., Thomas C.
of Fall City, WA.; daughters, Mary
Lee McFadder of Colville, WA.;
brothers C. Floyd Massey of Yelm,
WA. and Eugene D. Massey of
Cove City, N.C.; nine grandchildren
and 15 great-grandchildren.
Jeanne T. Collins
Memorial services for Jeanne T.
Collins, 48, were held Saturday,
Nov. 17, 1990 at the United
Methodist Church in Heppner.
Ms. Collins died at Emmanuel
Hospital, Portland on Tuesday, Nov.
13, 1990.
Ms. Collins was bom Nov. 10,
1942, in Eugene to William C. and
Daisy Zimmerly Collins. She attend­
ed school in Heppner, graduated
from Heppner High School and
Eastern Oregon State College,
LaGrande.
Collins worked in the computer
industry most of her life which in­
cluded some worldwide travel. She
was a computer systems engineer for

The Two-Trackers had their last
meeting for the winter Sunday, Nov.
11. Members have covered walk,
trot, gallop, backing and fore-hand
pivot this fall. Watch this column
next spring for the beginning date for

held a meeting November 8 at the
Extension office. Officers were
elected with Jodi Johnston president;
Sara Greenup secretary; Lonnie Rill,
treasurer and Shaun Hisler, news
reporter.
Members decided to choose a new
name for the club this year and voted
to
use
Picture
Perfect
Photographers. In new business
m em bers discussed different
cameras, lenses, and film that will
be used this year.
Leader Susie Hisler handed out
4-H pins and cards to those who
completed the past year. The
meeting was then adjourned.

to locate offending subject;

ed to a residence to investigate a
report of harrassment. Investigation
is continuing;
Morrow County Sheriffs office
dispatched the Boardman ambulance
for a male subject with unknown
problems. Subject refused transport;
Morrow County deputy respond­
ed to an Irrigon residence to in­
vestigate the report of a burglary.

ed to an Irrigon residence for a
possible prowler. Deputy was unable
to locate prowler;

ed to a report of harrassment. Pro­

Foidel was lodged at Benton Coun­

problem. Problem was resolved;

Harassment;
Morrow County deputy took a
report of a possible intoxicated

Javier Renteria, 21, for Driving
Under the Influence of Intoxicants.
Subject was released on his own
recognizance;
Morrow County deputies respond­
ed to a business in Irrigon for a
domestic dispute. Problem was
resolved;
Morrow County deputies respond­
ed to a business in the Boardman
area to assist Boardman Police
department with a domestic dispute.
Problem was resolved;
Morrow County deputy made con­
tact with a resident off Paul Smith
Road, Boardman, regarding a
disturbance;
Morrow County deputy cited and
released Donald Goad, 35, Irrigon,
for Maintaining a Dog as a Public
Nuisance.
November 19: Morrow County
deputy made contact with a resident
on Utah St., Irrigon, regarding a
neighborhood disturbance. Problem
was resolved;
Morrow County deputy respond­
ed to Pauls in Irrigon to investigate
a report of an accident. There was
no farther action taken.
During the week of November
12-19 Morrow County deputies
assisted two disabled motorists.
November 20: Morrow County
Sheriff s office dispatched the Arl­
ington ambulance to a one-vehicle
rollover on 1-84 east bound lanes at
Hwy. 74 junction. One 22 year old
male was transported to Good
Shepherd Hospital;
Morrow County Sheriffs office
dispatched the Boardman ambulance
to Riverside High School in Board-
man. One female with an injury was
transported to Good Shepherd
Hospital.
