Sheriff’s Report
The Morrow County Sheriffs of
fice at the courthouse in Heppner
reports dispatching the following
business during the past week:
Morrow County Sheriffs office
dispatched the Boardman ambulance
to Columbia Ave. There was no
transport made;
Morrow County deputy respond
ed to the Irrigon area for a complaint
of a neighborhood disturbance;
Morrow County deputy received
a report of an animal problem in Ir
rigon. Investigations are continuing;
Morrow County deputy respond
ed to the Irrigon area for a report of
a speeding vehicle in a residential
area;
Morrow County deputy respond
ed to the lone area for a complaint
of Assault.
September 26: Morrow County
deputy arrested Jerry Arthur Stefani,
41, lone on a Lane Co. District
Court Warrant for Violation of a
Suspended Sentence, Driving Under
the Influence of Intoxicants. Stefani
was transported and lodged at Ben
ton County Jail;
Morrow County Sheriffs office
arrested Dennis Dean Stefani, 28,
lone for Assault IV. Stefani was
transported and lodged at Benton
County Jail;
Morrow County deputy respond
ed to the Irrigon area for a juvenile
problem.
September 27: Morrow County
deputy responded to the Lexington
area to investigate a report of a
suspicious circumstance. Call was
unfounded;
Morrow County deputy respond
ed to the Irrigon area for a report of
a wheat fire. Sheriff s office was ad
vised that it was a controlled burn;
Morrow County deputy respond
ed to the Irrigon area for a report of
shots fired. Deputy was unable to
locate report upon arrival;
Morrow County deputy respond
ed to the Irrigon area for a juvenile
problem.
September 28: Morrow County
deputy responded to the Boardman
area to assist the Boardman Police
department with a neighborhood
problem;
Morrow County deputy made con
tact with a resident on Rt. 2 in Ir
rigon regarding a report of property
damage. Reported damaged was a
mailbox and news box of undeter
mined value. Investigation is
continuing;
Morrow County Sheriffs office
dispatched the Spray ambulance to
Humphrey’s Market in Spray due to
a report of a male with unknown
injuries;
Morrow County deputy respond
ed to the Columbia River west of
Boardman to investigate a report of
an abandoned boat. Owner was
located and problem solved;
Morrow County deputy respond
ed to Sunridge homes to investigate
a report of theft. Taken from John
Gorham. Irrigon was fishing gear
valued at $525.;
Morrow County deputy respond
ed to Irrigon to attempt to locate a
possible drunk driver. Call was
unfounded.
Morrow County deputy respond
ed to Boardman for a neighborhood
disturbance; Problem was resolved;
Morrow County deputy respond
ed to the six mile canyon area for a
report of suspicious circumstances.

ed to Boardman for a report of theft
of services from Boardman Shell,
value, $12.70. Michael Dennis
Riley, 30, of Portland was arrested
for Driving Under the Influence of
Intoxicants;
Morrow County deputy respond
ed to Irrigon to investigate the report
of a stolen vehicle. Investigation is
continuing.
September 29: Morrow County
deputy responded to a residence in
Boardman to assist Boardman Police
department with a neighborhood
disturbance;
Morrow County deputy respond
ed to a disturbance in Boardman. Ar
rested for Criminal Trespass was
Dwight L. Roofe, 33, Portland.
Roofe was cited and released;
Morrow County Sheriffs office
took a report of a missing person.
Subject was located;
Morrow County deputy respond
ed to the Irrigon area for a report of
illegal dumping. Officers were
unable to locate problem upon
arrival;
Morrow County Sheriffs office
dispatched the Condon ambulance
for a transport to The Dalles;
Morrow County Sheriffs office
dispatched the Spray ambulance to
a motor vehicle accident up Kahler
Basin Road. Three people were
transported to Prineville with
unknown injuries;
Morrow County deputy respond
ed to the Irrigon Park for a report
of a disturbance. Problem was
resolved;
Morrow county deputy arrested
William Perkins, 41, Irrigon, for
allowing a dog to run at large.
Perkins was cited and released.
September 30: Morrow County
Sheriffs office dispatched the Lex
ington Rescue and Heppner am
bulance to a residence in Lexington.
One adult female was transported to
Good Shepherd Hospital with an
illness;
Morrow County Sheriffs office
dispatched the Boardman fire depart
ment to Outback Apartments. Board-
man false alarm.
October 1: Morrow County depu
ty responded to a residence in Irrigon
for a neighborhood disturbance;
Morrow County deputy respond
ed to Irrigon to take a report of
several thefts in a neighborhood
there. Value and victim were
unknown at press time;
Morrow County deputy respond
ed to an Irrigon business for a report
of a burglary at Desert Farm Supp
ly. Value was unknown at press
time;
Morrow County deputy respond
ed to a residence in Irrigon for what
turned out to be a civil problem;
Morrow County deputy respond
ed to the Bombing Range Road in
Boardman to investigate a report of
a suspicious person. Person was
located and assisted via transport to
residence;
Morrow County deputy respond
ed to 1-84 near Boardman to attempt
to locate a vehicle with a possibly in
toxicated driver. Vehicle was located
and call was unfounded;
Morrow County Sheriff s office
dispatched the Condon fire depart
ment to 203 Oregon St., Condon, to
a report of a chimney fire. Fire was
extinguished.

lone Topic Club met Wednesday,
Sept. 26, at the home of Rikka Tews
with Maryan McElligott as co
hostess. A video was shown on the
subject “ M am m ogram /Breast
Cancer” presenting an interview
with a cancer victim and the impor-
tance of early detection. This was an
edited 45-minute version of a pro
gram shown on the “ Home Show.”
A copy will be placed in fhe lone
Library and may be checked out for
viewing.
A report was made on the suc
cessful fall money maker for the
library. Guests for the day were
Anne Morter, Grace Romano and
Kathy Morter.
