It’s that time again and time for the
back-to-school jean sales as well.
You’ll have better luck finding the
right sizes if you shop now, while
the selection is available, notes Carol
Bennett, Oregon State University
Extension agent in Morrow County.
However, there are some risks in
shopping early. The school fashion
scene may end up being something
entirely different. And when a
clothing item’s not worn much, the
sale advantage quickly disappears.
Moderation may be the key, ad-
vises Ardis Koester, O.S.U. Exten
sion textiles and clothing specialist.
Buy a few things to get the school
year started and wait to see what
others are wearing before buying
much more.
Remember that “ frosted” jeans
won’t be as durable. If jeans are on
your family’s back to school shopp
ing list, you might need to purchase
an extra pair or two of “ frosted"
jeans or plan to replenish the supply
halfway through the school year.
