The meeting of the Ewes R Us
sheep club was held June 11 at
Kate’s Pizza. A fitting clinic will be
Sat. July 14, at 9 a.m. at Kenn
Evans’ house.
During the meeting Rondi Robin­
son gave a presentation on foot care
for lambs. Sara Greenup, Amy
Greenup, Shelly Ashbeck and Jen­
ny Krein will be giving presentations
at the next meeting. Members went
over the results from the Tygh
Valley judging contest. Char Coe got
seventh place in the intermediate
group with 381 points out of 500.
Shaun Hisler got 400 points out of
500, placing first in the juniors and
third overall. Kim Johnston placed
eighth in seniors with 367 points out
of 500. Members went over the cor­
rect placings in each class.
The leaders told about how much
and what kind of food that the lambs
should be fed.
On July 31 the lambs will be
sheared at the fairgrounds around
8:30 a.m. After the lambs have been
shorn, members will practice show­
ing and will need to bring a lunch.
The next meeting will be July 16
at the fairgrounds in the annex.
Blowers and clippers that were
ordered earlier this year came in and
everyone got a chance to see them.

A memorial service was held for
Lorene Jeannette (Turner) Hud­
dleston at St. Stevens Episcopal
Church, Boise, ID on June 19.
Mrs. Huddleston, 76, died Sun­
day, June 17, 1990 at St. Alphonsus
Hospital in Boise.
She was bom January 26, 1914 in
Morrow County Oregon and was
raised in Heppner. She attended the
University of Oregon and received
her degree in music education.
She met her husband Raymond
Huddleston in 1938 when she came
home for the weekend. She went to
a dance with him at the suggestion
of his sister Sadie Parrish. The cou­
ple were married the following
Wednesday, Feb. 9, 1938.
They moved to Valbez, Alaska
and lived there for the next 50 years.
Mrs. Huddleston continued to teach
private music lessons and perform at
civic events as well as raise her three
daughters.
The family helped to relocate and
rebuild the town of Valbez after the
earthquake in 1964. They were able
to move the home that they had built
and lived in for many years to the
new town site.
In 1976 Mrs. Huddleston and her
husband moved to Boise, ID to be
near her family and friends.
Survivors include daughters
Lorene Sloper of Salem; Alice
Bergdull of Juneau, Alaska and Sal­
ly Robertson of Boise, ID and five
grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her
husband Raymond and a grandchild
Barbara.
Memorial contributions may be

Ruschetti and Patricia A. Ruschetti,
husband and wife, as grantor, to
Homestead Title and Escrow Com­
pany, Inc., as trustee, in favor of In­
land Empire Bank, as beneficiary,
dated March 5, 1987, recorded
March 6, 1987, in the mortgage
records of Morrow County, Oregon,

The Farmers Home Administration (FmHA) county committee election

out, detached and mailed and received or returned in person to Pendleton
County Office, 1229 S.E. Third Suite A, Pendleton OR 97801, not later
than June 29, 1990. If you do not vote in person you should mail your ballot
inside a blank envelope marked ballot to ensure a secret ballot. This blank
envelope should be placed inside the envelope you use to mail your ballot.
Your name and address must be legible on the outer envelope. Failure to
provide this information will render your ballot invalid. Only one ballot
may be voted in person or by mail by any voter. Votes in envelopes con­
taining more than one absentee ballot will not be counted. Ballots and
