first one Heppner struggled in the
first quarter leading only 11-7 The
second quarter the pace picked up a
little bit with Heppner leading 23 13

The Heppner Fillies hosted
Umatilla. Saturday. January 27, anil
heat the Vikings 54 32 to remain in
possession of second place in the
CBC and just one game behind
league leading Weston McFwen
Jennifer Currin scored 30 points
in the game. )ust two less than the
entire Viking team, to lead the Fillies
to the easy victory.
The Fillies got off to a fast starl
as they jumped out to a 14 7 lead at
the end of the opening quarter
Heppner increased its lead in the sc
cond quarter by two points and had
a 22-13 lead at the halt
The Fillies took complete control
of the game in the third quarter as
they out scored the Vikings 20-h and
took a commanding 42-1 *4 lead go
ing into the final period Heppner
kept control in the fourth quarter and
went on to the victory
Kim Stookcy. Nikki Brisbois and
Dulcie Palmer all had six points for
the Fillies Carrie Brownfield ripped
down six rebounds and Stookcy had
five steals
The Fillies now 7-1 in conference
play, travel to Boardman Friday to
face the 4-4 Riverside Pirates On
Saturday the Fillies will host the
Stanfield Tigers. 5-3 in CBC play
