By Marty Suter
The Lady Pirates rallied in the
fourth quarter to take a 44-40 CBC

The Pirate» were plagued by first
game jitters in the first halt, with
starter, April Morgan, getting into
foul trouble early in the game
Riverside went to a man tivman
defense in the third quarter and were
able to hold the Redsides to only six
points They were still unable,
however, to convert their own shots
Die Pirates finally got things go
ing in the fourth quarter with Marty
Suter scoring 11 jsoints. including
seven of nine from the tree throw
line Starter Shantui I vans fouled out

claim the top spot of the CBC stats
Wasco County's duo of Jason

"In the second quarter we felt like
we had the win It was our lirst home
game and we felt a little pressure and
the boys didn't relax at all." coach
Ray Tracy said
Riverside couldn't seem to get the
shots to go in in the first half, but
then kicked in during the third
quarter
Scott Timms led the Pirates with
17 points, follow ed by Pat
