one successful production this year
in "Nightmare High SchraiT and arc
anticipating a good reception to "A
Christmas Carol " It is based on the
classic novel by Charles Dickens,
where a crusty, old money-loving
man is visited by ghosts Christmas
night and is changed overnight into
a generous loving human being

the local chapters of the Veterans of
Foreign Wars The local contest was
held November 11. Veteran's Day

taking a 24 to 7 lead at (he end of
the first quarter The Mustangs us
ed a pressing and trapping defense
in the first quarter and for part of the
second quarter to build a 56 to I9
lead at halftime rhe Mustangs then
slowed it down to keep Joseph in the
game
The final score was the Heppner
Mustangs 79 and the Joseph F-aglcs

Mustangs then faced the Riverside

disappointing losses In the Fillies'
first game they were beaten by lone,

Mustangs played for the Morrow
County Tournament championship
The Musiangs got out - rebounded by
the taller Pirates and missed
freethrows to give the Pirates a 44
to 31 lead at halftime
The Mustangs played better in the
second half hut could not overcome
the deficit The Pirates were led by
