Youngsters get animals ready for judging
As the 1989 County Fatr ap
proaches, please think lor a minute
about some ot the goals of a fair
County Fair is an educational ex
pcrience for everyone involved It
otters project members and adult
leaders an opportunity to develop
leadership skills as they participate
in various activities As members
prepare tor the Fair, they have a
chance to gain knowledge and skills
through activities and project
meetings 4 H members also learn to
make decisions and relate to others
4 FTers decide which of their pro-
jects will he exhibited and which ac
tivities to participate in at Fair
Prioritizing is a skill used many
times throughout life They also
have a chance 'to interact with
superintendents and judges as they
go through the process of face to face
fudging learning to think and speak
"i*n one's feet” is another vital skill
for success in life
