provide funds for community needs

chasing the house from Bob and
Aloha IVsp.un in February and
oegan converting it into a ned and
hreadtasl larry and Darlene had
their own home construction
business in Portland for 20 years
before moving here Darlene also
was a real estate agent Among her
other capabilities, Darlene is a pro
fessional seamstress and interior
decorator Larry is doing the
remodeling of the house and Darlene
paints and decorates
Darlene just recently joined the
Soroptimist flu b in Heppner and she
and her husband have taken up ski
ing in their "sparc” timc, which is
very limited right now

and a journey of 11 miles along the
north fork of Willow Creek to
W ilkinson Ranch An eleven mile
trip the fourth day will bring them
into Heppner, a hit weary from the
hone larring affair One of the par
ticipants last year related that "the
pioneers used to put their cream in
a jar and tic it to a wheel As it went
around it. it churned the butter
Although these "pioneers” aren't
roughing it like their ancestors did

roads, showers, and catered mcalsi
