We all enjoyed the many guests who (.ante to our open house last Friday,
including our friends from nearby as well as those from senior centers in
Hcrmiston. F.cho. Umatilla, Irrigon and Pendleton During the program
emcee Jane Rawlins traced steps during the past 15 years leading to the
reality of our senior center
The group heard short talks by Paul Jones, former board member and
chairman of the Nutrition Site Committee, l.ynnea Sargrant, our first AAA
program supervisor here, former county judge Don Me I lligott, Mcrlyn
Robinson from the County Fair Board, Dr Wolff. Wilbur Jackson, Meg
Murray , Mayor Cara Costa. Bill Kuhn, coordinator of the buidmg project,
Marla Purcell, Nutrition Program Manager. Theresa Taatfe, Executive
Director of ECOAC, Judge Louis Carlson. Mem Reamer. Morrow Coun
ty Outreach Specialist, and a letter from Charles Briggs, Director of the
Area Agency on Aging under FCOAC Special " /a n y ” awards were given
to Bud Batty I Raymond). Marily n Bergstrom and Joyce Breeding (the cooks)

The rooms were festive with balloons and arrangements of choice ins
