For Thomas Doty of Ashland,
storytelling is not only a hobby. but
a way of life
The Boardman City Friends of the

Feb 21
The storyhour had a fanuly tone,
with a large turnout of both parents
and children alike sitting together
giggling with Doty's traditional
stones from Northwestern Indian
tribes Many of these traditional

For Carolyn Skoubo. working as
a clerk a( the Boaniman Post Office
for the last 35
years has been an
interesting experience
Skoubo began working in the “ old
town" Boardman Post Office until
1966 when the town relocated
because of the building of John Day
Dam
Skoubo will now move on to
Adams, where she will live in a
motor home and travel back
‘ hom e" to Boardman on the
weekends
She has had the opportunity to
view the expansion of Boardman as
the Post Office enlarged to ac
comodate the mail of the growing
community Skoubo has worked
under four postmasters in her 35 V*
years of serving Boardman
