Contest at the Blue Mountain EEA
District 1-eadership Skills contest
Lindsay competed at the sectional
level on February 21 in l-ax Grande
He faced the top two speakers from
the Eastern Oregon and Snake River
districts

and has 30 minutes to prepare a four

National Youth Conference to be
held in Washington. D C. March

Mothers Against Drunk Driving
(MADD) and National Association
of Broadcasters
These teams will be participating
with other state teams in addressing
the problem of teenage impaired
driving There was a team selected
from each of the northwestern,
eastern and southern sections of the
state
This conference will offer the op­
portunity to network with other
groups dealing with impaired driv­
ing and will also be the National
Kick-Off for Operation Prom-
Graduation Groups will also have
tune to showcase their own special
problems
The team consists of one adult and
one student This is a working team,
so the adult will play an integral role,
no just act as chaperone
