Bowman heads Soroptimist for 88-89

injuries in
accident
A one car accident occured about
h mile up Hinton Creek towards
Pilot Rock, last Saturday. July 30.
at about 6 30 p m

Hiatt, driser o f the 1967 Ford pick
up. Scan Adlard and Marti Buschke,
all o f Heppner
According to Gary Warren, M or-
n>w County Deputy. the boys were
on their way to town when the driver
reached for a paper that was blow
ing off the dashboard and out the
wmckiw He hit the shoulder, over
corrected, and the pick up crossed
the road and rolled two times
Buschke and Adlard were ejected
from the vehicle
Hiatt was treated at Pioneer
Memorial Hospital and released as
was Buschke Buschke was kept for
observation Adlard was transported
to Pendleion with unknown injuries.

Ed Struthers is doing a lot of painting on the fair buildings
this week The structures are receiving a coat of pearl gray
paint in preparation for fair week which begins August 17-21.
Michele Wallis is working on the new display board that is
located in the fair building next to the kitchen. This new board
will show the winners m each division. They will be posted as
soon as they are known This will be a centrally located infor
mation board for fair results
State fair tickets available at
First Interstate

will sell advance discount tickets for
the State Fair from August I through
August 24 The Fair runs from
August 26 through September 5
4-H horse judging
contest August 6
Adult tickets regularly priced at $5
will be sold for $3.50. For each
ticket sold a 50C donation will be
made to the Children s Trust Fund
to help fight child abuse and neglect.
