Tokyo. Japan W right's daughter
Kimhcrlc was married to Dennis
Trotter on July 1 6 and Sono had ex
pressed a desire to attend the
wedding
Sono was in Heppner seven years
ago w ith the LA BO 4-H Exchange
program and lived with the W rights
Sono and Kimheric are the same age
Two years ago. Nance, another of
the W right's daughters went to Japan
with the Exchange program and
visited Sono and her family.

with Sono’s family
Sono attends college in Tokyo at
Tokyo Y .W .C .A . SJie is studying

This weekend Sono will go to the
Oregon coast with Glen and Lenna
Smith and Brcni Wright After the
coast trip she is flying to Los
Angeles to visit some fnends and go
to “ Space Mountain.” She will
spend four days in L A and then
home to Tokyo
When she asked what she liked
about Oregon. Sono replied that she
liked the hills, less people and more
space She really likes tacos, which
is something she would not cat when
she was in Heppner seven years ago

meet on Sunday. July 31 at the
Boardman Marina Table service

nished. with the dinner being
potluck The area will open at 10:30
a m with coffee served and the din
ner will begin at I p m. This is the
yearly Memorial and the granges are
asked to send names o f the departed
