to face the Echo Cougars
The Cardinals devastated the
Cougars with excellent serving and
even better spiking to seal up the var
sity victory
The first game o f the varsity game
proved to he the closest o f them all
with the Cardinals winning narrow­
ly 15-12.
The Cardinals were led by strong
serving by sophomore front court
starters. Mary Cupps and Jo Cupps
Both Jo and Mary combined to
score seven o f the team's total points
in the first game
The second game was also taken
by lone 15 12 The Cardinals were
led by sophomore Darcee Padherg
and Junior Angie Rudictll
Both games were won as a result
o f excellent communications and
mistake free play
Both o f the teams played well hut
the Cardinals prevailed taking the
match 2-0
The J .V. match proved to he no
contest for the Cardinals who linik
the games in a cakewalk 15-6. 15-3.
The J V teams were led by
sophomore Judy Jepsen who helped
out hv serv ing excellently and play­
ing an overall good game
