I talked w ith Glen Ward about the algae growth
in W illo w Creek reservoir Glen said its partialis due to the larin ground
above the lake, the fe rtilize r, the hot weather, the low water all eon
tribute to the growth ot the algae
Glen predicts that in a few years trout w ill nor do so w ell in the lake
When that tim e comes the Department o t Fish and \k ild lite w ill begin
planting Large M outh Hass and Crappte in the lake
I also talked to Glen about the brood counts underwas on the lov.il
game birds Glen said that they were not set finished with the final counts,
hut so far it looks encouraging
I have been seeing a lot o f young chu ka r\ in the area Perhaps thes
are on a comeback It you happen to come u c i o s s a clutch ot birds, please
take caution w hile d rivin g these young birds are very unpredictable
Doug Kalhbun and his son Charlie went fishing up at Cutsforth Park
