Runners spirits shine through overcast skies
Thu year's 57 walkers/runners us
the Rolling Hills Run were con-
siderably fewer than last year's 194
entrants, but lack of numbers and
overcast skies didn't dampen en-
thustasm. Runners and walkers
crossed the starting line at Heppner
Elementary School and wound their
way along the 5k and 10k routes
Al Beck. Heppner. crossed the
10k finish line juO 33:35 after the
run began Becky Muck of Portland
finished the 10k in 46 07. Each
received a plaque for a first-place
overall finish
Mack Temple of Echo and Faye
Sen/ of Heppoer were the oldest
finishers in the sixth annual run.
