It was a clean sweep for River
side's g o lf team over Heppner last
Thursday at the W illo w Creek Coun­
try C lub
The Pirates won the varsity
18 hole match 244 333 and came
away w ith a 362-401 victo ry in the
18-hole ju n io r v a rs ity m atch
Despite losing. Heppncr's varsity
shot its best 18 hole team score o f
the season
The W .C .C .C . course was m e t-
ccllcnt condition according to Hepp
ner coach John Edmundson
R iverside's Jason M ichael earned
varsity medalist honors w ith a 67
w hile Dan Struthers paced the
Mustangs hy firin g a 75
C arl M a rtin and Bert Cason
played well also hy shooting a 74 and
83 respectively.

ro u n d s." Edmundson said
In the JV match. W ill M am n fired
a 43 and Brent Temple contributed
a 45 to lead Heppner hut it wasn't
enough to overcome the Pirates who
were led hy medalist Harold Glenn's

Hcrmiston with 248 strokes for 18
holes defeated both the Savages,
who had 321 strokes, and the
Mustangs, which had .344 strokes
E nterprises Steve C avallaro was
medalist on the afternoon w ith a
career best 68
The Bulldogs ot H erm iston also
prevailed in the junior varsity match
w ith a 118 fo r nine holes compared
to the 136 for Hcppner's JV Blur,
and 138 for Us JV Gold squad
