nun County Huskies last Saturday
night and fell to 0-4 on the season
with the 45-42 loss
The Mustangs led the Huskies
IV 16 at halftime but were outscorcd
20-12 in the third period to lead
36 3 1 entering the fourth quarter but
the Huskies held on for the win
Both teams struggled in the early
going and the opening period ended
in a 6-6 tie when Heppncr'» Russell
Britt hit a 35 foot bank shot as the
bom wunded at the end o f the
period
Jeff Dcsin came off the Mustang
benc h in the second quarter to score
sis points and spark Hcppner to (he
19-16 first half advantage over the
Huskies
Sherman County came out smok
ing in the third frame and burned the
nets for 20 points from both inside
and outside to post a 36 31 lead
Britt did his best to keep the
Mustangs in the game by scoring
eight points in the frame
Britt from outside and Derek
Hoeft from inside brought Hcppner
back in the final quarter but the
Huskies were able to hold on for a
45-42 victory
Sherman County shot an even 50
percent from the field for the game
by converting 19 o f 38 attempts
while the Mustangs shot 35 percent
