The Morrow County Historical
Society is now taking orders for
Morrow County History Books
These are the hooks published in
IV83 containing stories and photos
submitted by county families.
The first printing wild out and
hooks were not available, said a
Historical Society member
However, the Historical Society has
now negotiated with Taylor
Publishing Company for a second
printing of the hixik They must,
however, order 100 books Those
who have previously contacted the
commince will receive letters asking
if they still want to order the hooks
at a cost of $45 each

Floyd W Zimmerman. 59. owner
operator of the Shamnxk Club in
Fossil, died Saturday. August 2.
1986 from injuries received in a car
accident near Cascade Locks
He was horn September 30. 1926,
in Rixhester. Minn . the son of Fr
win and Alma Zimmerman
He owned and operated the
Shamrock Club for 32 years He
built Zim's Hrau Haus tn The Dalles
and had operated it since 1970 He
also owned and operated numerous
other businesses in the Portland area
over the past 40 years
He was a charter member of the
Hillsboro Elks Lodge, and was
always community minded
He is survived by five children.

games with prizes, and hopefully a
street dance will highlight the day

When Henry Struve, his father in
law. died in 1947, Isom Uxik over
farming the Struve land 10 miles
west of Pendleton, and continued un
til retiring at age 70
Isom was a life member of the
()rcgon Wheat Growers league He
was active in Hcppner and Pendleton
