Kimberle W’right. daughter of Ken
and Judy Wright of Heppner has
been accepted as a contestant in the
Miss Teen of Oregon Scholarship
and Recognition Pageant to be held
in Corvallis the weekend of July
18-20
Wright reports that she answered
a letter from the pageant committee
by completing an application form
and sending a photograph of herself
and was notified about two weeks
ago that she had been accepted as a
contestant
The pageant is not a "beauty con
test" or a “ talent competition." says
Wright, it is based largely on the
contestant's community service
Judging criteria include the contes
lant's personality as determined by
an interview with contest |udgcs. her
pervinal development of hobbies.
