anytime, now is the best time to
prune desiduous ornamentals Be

fruit growing closer to the center of
(he tree will be shaded from the sun
light almost all the time This pre
vents the fruit from growing to full
size and achieving the fully drvel
oped color of normally mature fruit

the branches gel more sunlight
allowing belter development in size
and color

Weston McKwen Tiger-Scots on
February 21 and 22
Friday the Fillies traveled to
Athena to meet with Weston Me
Kwen for the first time this season
Heppner never could get their
offense going and were slow on the
boards
As a result the Fillies ended up
losing bv 32 {Hunts
The TigerScots did have an
advantage of experience over the
Fillies
Weston McKwen has a
separate freshmen team so Heppner
was up against all sophomores and
juniors
Saturday the Fillies sparked their
home court for the last game of the
season
Heppner hustled and showed Wes
Ion McKwen Friday was only a bad
night
The Fillies were able to break the
TigerScots full court press which
had given them trouble with the
preceding night
Heppner was much more patient
on offense and got into good position
for the rebounds which they did not
do on Friday
A win did not com e out of the
Killies determination but a come
back that brought Heppner to w ithin
five {Hunts of Weston McKwen did
