Last Thursday evening began the
ecumenical l-enten Series entitled.
"Issues Facing Christians Around
the W orld." There was a large turn
out of people despite the unfav
orable weather Those attending
heard the Rev Cathy Barker des
cnbe the issues that are facing
Christians in Eastern Europe and
the U S 8 R
This Thursday evening. Feb 20 . at
7 :30 p rn the senes will continue at
the V'alby Lutheran Church This
week's program will feature issues
that are facing Christians in China
and will be presented by Fred and
Helen Martin The Martins have
traveled in China and will be able to
share with us in their program the
particular issues that are prevalent
to Christians in China The public is
encouraged and invited to attrnd
this program Refreshments will
again be served following the pro
gram by the hosts at Valby Lutheran

near the Butler Aircraft Center The
12 were killed when a DC 7 aerial
tanker crashed near Klamath Falls
September 14. 1979
The memorial is made of stone set
in a concrete base Benches along
