An early Saturday morning fire
destroyed a wall and part of the floor
in the kitchen of the Bruce and Mary
Bergstrom home on Highway 206
about a mile from Heppner Smoke
damage is evident throughout the
rest of the house
The couple works nights so were
not at home when the fire broke out
The cause of the fire is still under
investigation, said a fire department
spokesperson, but faulty wiring is
suspected
