second district congressman, now
held by Republican Bob Smith
On his theory of government,
Tuttle. J9. says m ilitary spending is
out of control, the federal deficit
should be brought down and the
present congressman Bob Smith, is
not getting things done in Washing
ton
We need to have a representative
who can get things done and apply
himself to getting the problems
solved." says Tuttle, who points out
that the federal deficit is hurting
agriculture and tim ber in their
ability to compete
" I f the deficit isn't brought under
control then we need to design
programs to help farm ers and tim
tier." he said
He said he was disappointed with
the Reagan Administration for not
cutting the deficit, and then pulling
the rug out from help to agriculture
