Association has contributed to. and
prov ided mayor financial support for
the clinic This relationship between
the Elks and the Department of
Ophthalmology with the School of
Medicine began m July of I’M» with
the estab lish m en t of the Elks
Children's Eye Clinic, the first of its
kind in the nation
Since that time, nearly $3 million
has been given to the clinic by the
Elks The money is used both for the
daily operation of the clinic and for
the building fund to finance future
expansion The clinic series child
ren from every county in Oregon,
recording more than 120,000 patient
visits since it opened

for much of the race until the 261 h

sixth lap and held it until he spun out
in lap 25 As a result of the spin the
yellow flag came out Chuck Woods.
Pendleton, who was running second
