The Harden Hugs met for the
regular meeting on Thursday at the
home of Lois Allyn The program
for the afternoon was a very inter
esting talk on weed identification
The group toured the Allyn and
Burcham yard identifying the
various weeds found there
Old business was the broken water
line in the park and it was reported
that the Oddfellow are going to
assist Kay Papineau in the fixing of
the pipe
The club thanks all who helped
with the Memorial Day Flower sale
and those who donated the flowers so
that the sale was possible
They
thank the people who assist in the
activities of the garden club
Five shrubs were purchased by
the Harden Bugs for planting at the
City Hall and they do look nice
Plans to plant petunias around the
Grist wheel are underway
A trip is being planned for the 20th
to the cactus greenhouses in Irrigon.

tour the greenhouses in the after

The group will sell lemonade and
cookies during the celebration in
July 13 at the Lexington Park
Kainbow candles will be available at
that time The member were asked

many pretty flowers

Flowers have been planted at the
park, with petunia in the old bathtub
and bleeding hearts (the club
flower > in various spots in the park
Also some of the pink hedge roses
are blooming and are very pretty
The next meeting will be at the
home of Dorothy Hurchams. at a
special morning time as there are
plans for another meeting there in
the afternoon
