The Heppner Mustangs traveled to
Umatilla last Saturday to play a
double header and ended up losing
both games and tell to 6-12 on the
year

on the mound for Umatilla and the
Mustangs happened to take an early
lead in the first inning on an KBI

But that lead didn t last long
Yandever and Joel Clucas had two
hits and each druve in a run to give
Umatilla a 2 1 lead

the second, one in the third, and two
in each the fourth and sixth innings
Heppner scored a run in the

single that scored Kick Kiehl, who
previously had hit his second double
of the game
Yandever gave up five hits and
struck out eight Troy Hyatt look the
loss for the Mustangs
The Mustangs fared heller in the
second game scoring three runs in
the first Jim Mct'onnell and I»ran
Hayes singled Hayes drove in two
runs and Heppner led 3-0 after one

the second inning Umatilla didn’t
collect a hit in the inning but there
were tour walks and an error
